Virginia’s Arlington Public Schools system launches redesigned WordPress multisite with eye towards better user experience.

Arlington Public Schools (APS) is a diverse and inclusive school community, committed to academic excellence and integrity. APS provides instruction in a caring, safe and healthy learning environment, responsive to each student, in collaboration with families and the community.

Needs

APS needed a fully redesigned multisite built in a user friendly and industry leading content management system, (CMS). Their unique needs included a custom calendar solution, dynamic staff directory, customized permissions, and easy to deploy alerts.

Solution

Materiell worked very closely with the Arlington Public Schools to create a WordPress multisite that is fully customized to their unique needs. The process started with fact finding, in-person meetings, and moved forward with wireframes and design mocks for APS’ consideration. Materiell’s experienced designers and developers created a solution based on APS’ needs rather than a one size fits all solution.
